Who leads the firm?
The firm was founded by Hannah Dang, a Professional Salon Consultant with over 25 years of experience in the casino beauty industry and experience as a salon owner in Las Vegas. Digital services are led by Amandeep Sarahiya, Digital Marketing and E-commerce Specialist. You can read more on our About page.
Who do you work with?
We work with salons, spas, barbershops, nail and lash studios, medspas, and independent beauty professionals. Clients range from owners preparing to open to established businesses planning their next stage.
Where are you located, and do you work with clients elsewhere?
Our office is at 5810 Stax St NW Unit 111D, Huntsville, AL 35806. We serve clients in Huntsville and across Alabama, throughout the United States, and internationally. Most work is carried out by video, phone, and shared documents.
What makes your approach different?
We combine direct salon experience with in house digital capability. The person advising you on pricing and team structure works alongside the person building your website and campaigns, so the business plan and the marketing say the same thing.
Salon Consulting
What does a salon consultant do?
A salon consultant reviews how a salon operates and earns, identifies what is limiting it, recommends specific changes, and supports the owner while those changes are made. Typical areas include pricing, service mix, scheduling, staffing, retention, retail, and marketing. See business development strategies.
How can a salon increase revenue?
The main levers are pricing, client retention, visit frequency, average ticket through add ons and upgrades, retail sales, and better use of available hours. The right starting point differs for each salon, which is why we begin with a review of your numbers.
What should a salon include in a business strategy?
A sound strategy covers goals for revenue and profit, target clients, service menu and pricing, staffing and pay structure, the client experience, retention systems, a marketing calendar, retail, and a short list of priorities with dates and owners.
How should a salon structure service packages?
Group services that belong together or work best as a series, price them so the client sees a clear benefit and the salon keeps a sound margin, and keep terms simple. Our service and package structuring page explains this in detail.
How can a salon improve staff performance?
Set clear standards, share each person's results with them, train one skill at a time, practice together, and follow up with regular one on one coaching. See staff training and performance coaching.
Do you help with hiring and HR documents?
Yes. We help organize hiring processes, job descriptions, onboarding plans, and handbook frameworks. We are not a law firm and recommend legal review of employment documents. See HR development and new hire documentation.
How can a salon prepare for a grand opening?
Begin planning two to three months ahead where possible. Set a realistic date, build a waiting list, prepare your online presence, train the team, hold a soft opening, and plan how each new guest will be invited back. See grand opening and promotional campaigns.
Digital Marketing
What is salon digital marketing?
Salon digital marketing is the use of online channels to attract and keep clients. It includes your website, search visibility, Google Business Profile, social media, paid advertising, email, and text messaging, all working from one plan.
How can salon owners use Google Ads?
Run search campaigns for specific services within the area you serve, send each ad to a relevant page with easy booking, exclude unrelated searches, and track calls and bookings. See Google Ads management.
Should my salon advertise on Facebook and Instagram?
Meta ads suit visual services, local awareness, openings, and seasonal offers. They work best with real photos and video from your salon and quick replies to enquiries. See Meta ads.
Do you manage social media accounts?
Yes. Our social media management service covers planning, content creation from your own photos and videos, scheduling, and reporting. If you would prefer to manage accounts yourself, we offer strategy and training for Instagram and TikTok.
Can you guarantee results from marketing?
No. We do not guarantee rankings, leads, follower counts, advertising performance, or revenue. Outcomes depend on many factors beyond any provider's control. We commit to careful work, accurate tracking, and honest reporting.
Website Services
Do you build websites for salons?
Yes. We design new sites, rebuild existing ones, and provide ongoing management. See website design, revamp and management.
Should a salon have an online store?
An online store is worthwhile when clients already buy products from you and want an easy way to reorder. We usually strengthen in salon retail first. See retail development and online store setup.
Can you develop a custom app for my salon?
We can plan and build custom tools, and we first check whether your existing booking software already offers what you need. See website and app development.
Will I own my website and accounts?
Yes. Domains, hosting, advertising accounts, and content are set up in your business's name or transferred to you.
SEO, AEO & GEO
How can a salon improve local SEO?
Complete your Google Business Profile, keep your name, address, and phone number identical across the web, earn and answer genuine reviews, publish a useful page for each main service, and make sure your site is fast on mobile.
What is AEO?
AEO is answer engine optimization: structuring content so search engines and voice assistants can extract a direct answer. It uses clear questions, concise answers placed first, and structured data.
What is GEO?
GEO is generative engine optimization: helping AI systems that generate answers understand and accurately reference your business. It relies on clear, consistent facts and well structured content. See SEO, AEO and GEO optimization.
How long does SEO take?
Some fixes show results within weeks. Broader visibility generally builds over several months and depends on competition. No one can guarantee specific positions.
Working With Empower Consulting Firm
How does an engagement begin?
It begins with a conversation about your business and goals. If we are a good fit, we propose a scope of work, timeline, and fee in writing before anything starts.
How do you work with clients outside Huntsville?
Through scheduled video sessions, phone calls, email, and shared documents. Training can be delivered live by video and supported with written materials.
Can I use one service only?
Yes. Some clients come for a single need, such as a pricing review or a website. Others combine consulting and digital services. We recommend only what suits your situation.
How are fees structured?
Fees depend on the service and scope and are set out in a written proposal. We do not publish standard prices because engagements vary. Advertising spend is paid directly to the platforms and is separate from our fees.
Is my business information kept confidential?
Yes. Information you share is used only for your engagement and is treated as confidential. See our Privacy Policy.
What is your refund policy?
Refund terms are described in our Refund Policy and in each client agreement.
